About Kacey
Lynnell:
My given middle name; an amalgamation of both my grandmothers' names. Honouring Marilyn and Ellen.
When I was little I would wake up at the crack of dawn, and start drawing, or making something for hours; before life even began for anyone else. I still do this; there is something sacred about the early hours of the day. You feel like the only one awake in the world. You feel like you have these special powers to offer to the world.
When I was young my grandmother Marilyn cared for me. She is a brilliant soul, full of so much life. She completely activated my imagination, and created a very magical space for me to explore and learn about the world. Everything in my surroundings was alive, and had some kind of magical purpose in my life. We would walk through this valley with horses and nature. We referred to this as “The Magic Valley”. It was our special place in the world.
My grandmother Ellen was a maker. She was an intelligent, and witty woman with strong beliefs that held our family together. From the War, to the Depression Era - nothing could be wasted; everything had a purpose.
Each handmade piece carries this magic, love, and purpose. Meant to be carried on from generation to generation.
